Katherine Elorduy, BloodSource Communications Director, states, "It's exciting to be part of this special blood drive with Sonoma Raceway. We look forward to offering race fans and blood donors this fun opportunity."
In true high-speed fashion, the raceway will put its own "spin" on the traditional blood drive, as donors get their hearts pumping with a high-speed "hot lap" before giving blood. Donors will ride along with a professional instructor from the Simraceway Performance Driving Center in an official raceway vehicle.
BloodSource supplies blood to more than 40 hospitals in over 30 counties – from Merced to the Oregon border, from Sonoma County to Lake Tahoe. This is the first time Sonoma Raceway and BloodSource have teamed up for this special event.
Make your appointment to donate blood at the raceway today! All donors must be at least 17 years old (or 16 with parent consent) and bring a valid photo ID.
