REDDING, CA – BloodSource and Shasta Blood Center of Blood Centers of the Pacific today announced that their integrated Redding-based blood donor center will be named BloodSource Shasta. The new donor center will open on July 1, 2016 at 2680 Larkspur Lane, the current location of Shasta Blood Center.
BloodSource and Shasta Blood Center began merging together in December 2015 and formed one organization to better serve hospitals, donors and the community.
“BloodSource and Shasta Blood Center have been neighbors and colleagues in Redding for more than 20 years,” said BloodSource Manager of Donor Recruitment Joe Ayer. “Both not-for-profit organizations share a common mission and commitment to donor and patient care, so we are excited to introduce BloodSource Shasta to our community. Together, we look forward to continue providing our donors with a great donation experience, plus exceptional service for our volunteers, patients and hospital partners.”
As part of the integration, Shasta Blood Center will be temporarily closed for renovations from June 6-30. During this period through June 26, blood donors are invited to donate at the current BloodSource donor center (1880 Park Marina Dr.). From June 27-30, donors may donate at community blood drives throughout the North State.
