"We look forward to another inspiring day of seeing our community come together during Día de donar sangre to help patients in need,” said BloodSource Manager of Recruitment, Meredith Spencer. “Univision 19 has been a wonderful partner for the past 16 years in helping us achieve our lifesaving mission. Through the generosity of donors, patients are able to spend even more cherished time with their families.”
Hispanic donors have a higher incidence of Blood Type O, the most requested blood type product from hospitals supporting patients in need. During Día de donar sangre, donors can learn about the importance of donating blood and joining Be The Match®, the national marrow registry for those ages 18-44 years old – another way to save lives.
