Davis, CA –Local students, staff, faculty and community members can save lives by donating blood during the Blood & Platelet Drive at UC Davis. Blood drive participants will receive a free BloodSource T-shirt and MyBloodSource Rewards. Please bring a photo I.D., eat healthy foods and drink plenty of fluids before donating.

Established in 1948 as a not-for-profit community blood bank, BloodSource serves a population of over 5 million and provides blood and medical expertise to over 40 hospitals in 30 counties. With 18 BloodSource Donor Centers and over 2,200 mobile drives annually, BloodSource relies on volunteer donors, chairpeople and volunteers to ensure community blood needs are met. Together, we do save lives.
About Blood Donation
Donating blood is safe, easy and takes about an hour. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be at least 17 years old (16 with a signed BloodSource parent consent form) and be in general good health. There is no upper age limit for blood donations. Donors must bring a photo ID and should drink plenty of fluids before donating.
